I may have to go on vacation there just to thank them

This graf says it all:

And in Palm Beach County, considered ground zero for the 2000 race, the number of Democrats rose by 34,047 and the number of Republicans barely changed, with an increase of just 2,262.
The article seems to want to say that there is no apparent edge for the Democrats in what was already a blue state, despite the fact that they have registered way more people and the voter rolls have increased by 1.5 million. Fair and balanced, I guess. The groundwork laid in Florida is excellent, and truth be told, we don't even need it to win. But the symbolic victory in Florida after what happend in 2000, I think, will legitimize Kerry's presidency in what has been a fairly evenly divided electorate.
