Rumblings of the DNC

While reading Daily Kos, it seems apparent that there are two approaches being fought over inra-party as to whether to focus more money and attention on Congressional races or to continue to be presidential-centric. Without the charisma and appeal of a strong-presidential candidate like Bill Clinton, being focused entirely on electing a president is completely useless. It didn't work that well before or since Clinton, did it? And that leaves the party in shambles. Because we end up with a minority in both houses and a GOP president who get to do whatever they want. That is definitely not in the best interest of the American people. No, i'd have to come down on the side of the Congressional races, leaving the presidential campaigns mostly autonomous. That means we get a Democratic Congress, or at least more seats and a stronger minority, and we pick the nominee we want, not the one the establishment wants. It seems to me that the party gets more new blood that way, clearing out congressmen who are more worried about incumbency than retaking the House and leaving the presidency open to whoever has the better message and raises more money.
